What happens on the day

Fair Day comes home to New Farm Park

A full day on the grass by the river: live performance on the main stage, the Rainbow Markets, food, and stalls from LGBTIQA+ organisations, services and small businesses across Queensland. The last time Fair Day was at New Farm Park was 2022.

Fair Day runs from 10am to 5pm on Saturday 24 October. The Pride Rally and March happens the same morning and finishes here, so the two events are one day.

Gates open at New Farm Park

The park fills from ten. Collect a wristband, walk the Rainbow Markets and find yourself a patch of grass.

Main stage

Drag, live music, dance and community performance from late morning through to close. The headline act for 2026 has not been announced yet.

Rainbow Markets

LGBTIQA+ makers, small businesses, health services and community organisations. Some are selling, some are signing people up, and some just want a chat.

Food and drink

A food precinct with a spread of vendors across the day, plus a licensed bar area. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options are always part of the mix.

The morning belongs to the Pride Rally and March, which gathers at the corner of Ann and Brunswick Streets and finishes here at New Farm Park. Join the march and walk in, or come straight to the park and meet it when it arrives.

A day for everyone

Fair Day is for the whole community: LGBTIQA+ people, families, friends and allies. We want a day where everybody can turn up as themselves and feel safe doing it.

We are working out the accessibility arrangements for New Farm Park and will publish the detail on this page as soon as they are confirmed. If you have an access requirement in the meantime, get in touch and tell us what you need, and we will work out what we can do on the day.

Getting there

New Farm Park

Brunswick Street, New Farm QLD 4005

Ferry: The New Farm Park CityCat terminal sits at the river edge of the park.
Bus: Services run along Brunswick Street. Check TransLink for the route that suits you.
Driving: Street parking around the park is limited and fills early, so public transport is easier.
On foot: The park is a walk from Merthyr Village and the Brunswick Street shops.

Fair Day runs on volunteers, and there is a job for every comfort level. One form covers Fair Day and the Rally and March, so you can put your hand up for either or both.

Questions

Where and when is Fair Day 2026?

Saturday 24 October 2026 at New Farm Park, Brunswick Street, New Farm. Gates open at 10am and the day finishes at 5pm.

Do I need a ticket?

Yes, Fair Day is ticketed. Tickets are available through Eventbrite. Pricing for 2026 is being confirmed and will be listed on the ticket page.

Is Fair Day accessible?

Accessibility arrangements for New Farm Park are being confirmed and we will publish the detail here before the day. If you have a specific access requirement, contact us ahead of time and we will work it out with you.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes. Dogs are welcome at New Farm Park as long as they are on a lead. Bring water and a bowl, pick up after them, and keep clear of the crowd at the main stage. It is a hot, loud, busy day, so if your dog is nervous around crowds they will have a better day at home. Registered assistance animals are welcome anywhere on site.

What if it rains?

Fair Day goes ahead rain or shine. Light rain will not stop it, so bring a poncho. If the weather turns genuinely dangerous we will post updates on this page and on our social channels.
