Help preserve Brisbane's LGBTQ+ history. Share photos, video, audio, documents, flyers, posters, recordings, and stories from Pride events, community organisations, venues, activism, arts, sport, and everyday life.
How it works
Drag and drop photos, videos, audio, or PDFs. You can upload up to 25 files at once, up to 500MB each.
For multiple files, choose one gallery entry or separate archive items.
Tell us what it is, when and where it is from, and how you would like to be credited.
Confirm you have permission to share the material. Submissions are reviewed before publication.
What can I submit?
- Photos - event snapshots, portraits, protest signs, venue shots, community gatherings
- Videos - footage from marches, performances, interviews, community events
- Audio - oral histories, interviews, radio segments, speeches
- Documents - flyers, posters, newspaper clippings, letters, programs (as PDF)
- External video links - YouTube or Vimeo links to relevant video content
Accepted formats: JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, TIFF, HEIC, AVIF, MP4, WebM, MOV, MP3, WAV, OGG, M4A, PDF. Maximum 500MB per file.
Before you submit
- Only submit material you own, created, or have permission to share.
- Include approximate dates, locations, names, events, or organisations where you know them.
- Choose anonymous attribution if you do not want your name shown publicly.
- Mark material as sensitive if it may identify people in private contexts, include confronting history, or need careful review.
- Your email is used only for correspondence about your submission and is never displayed publicly.
Review, privacy, and removal
Brisbane Pride Festival reviews submissions before publication. Some material may be edited for metadata, accessibility, formatting, or sensitivity labels, and some material may not be published if rights, privacy, safety, or scope concerns cannot be resolved.
You can request correction or removal of a submission at any time by contacting hello@brisbanepride.org.au.
